At crucial moments in our lives, I like to imagine that when one source of energy is cut off, another is born. We pivot from one reality to another. Like a strike of lightning, such moments leave a mark — on the body as well as the conscious and subconscious mind. It is my belief that we can control the mark that is left.

In my work, I give form to these pivotal moments as physical gestures, embodied through the human core as a concentrated source of energy. Coiled and activated, the core generates the power required for transformation—  summoning strength, elevating the spirit, and aligning us with our true intentions.

My sculptural language is defined by swellings and tensions between form and line, emerging from an early admiration of abstract modernist figuration. Through sustained study and practice, I have developed my own contemporary vocabulary for the human form across clay, stone, bronze, and wood.

My figures fuse the feminine and the masculine, confidence and questioning, sensuality and isolation, the ideal and the essential. They stand as monuments to our defining moments.
